SE Set for Gridiron Battle of the Storms

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will look to carry its momentum from a thrilling victory over Arkansas-Monticello last week when it travels to Bethany, Okla. For an Oct. 14 matchup with Southern Nazarene at 2 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm head into the contest with a 2-4 record on the year following its walk-off victory over UAM with Marquis Gray pulling in a game-winning touchdown pass from Weston Conaway as time expired.
 
Conaway tossed for 291 yards and three touchdowns while picking up a win in his first start, hitting 27-of-48 passes.
 
Gray was his top target with 11 catches for 145 yards and three scores, lifting his season total to 323 yards on 19 grabs with four touchdowns.
 
Kaleb Whitley leads the team with 20 receptions and has 308 yards and a touchdown, while Hunter Hawthorne has 226 yards on 18 catches with a score.
 
DJ Brown leads the Storm on the ground with 228 yards and three touchdowns, while Ryan Hirt has three scores and 119 yards rushing.
 
Michael Hookfin leads the way with 35 tackles while adding an interception, with Kevin Simes leading the pass rush with a team-high 5.5 sacks.
 
SNU comes into the weekend with a 3-3 record but has lost back-to-back contests, the last one being a 42-28 decision to Henderson State.
 
The Crimson Storm offense revolves around Gage Porter who has racked up 817 yards and 12 touchdowns rushing while adding 930 yards and eight scores passing.
 
Asa Robertson has been his top target with 18 catches for 274 yards, while Jarrell Farr has three receiving scores and another one on the ground.
 
Carter Brock leads the defense with 48 total tackles, while Jake Wright and Kenyatta Richardson each have a pair of sacks.
