Ruthie Forson paced the Southeastern offense as it closed out a sweep of its Arkansas road swing with a 3-1 win over Arkansas-Monticello on Friday afternoon in Monticello, Ark.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 7-10 overall on the season and 3-4 in Great American Conference play.

Nicole Solum-Mitchell, "And going 2-0 this weekend. UAM pushed us more than we expected so we had to find other ways to score. Noelia stepped up offensively for us and is playing back at a high level. Ruthie, again continues to elevate us as a unit. I love the grit and determination this group has. There is a lot of love in this group."

Forson led all attackers on the day with 12 kills while also handing out a game-high 26 assists from the setter position.

Michera Moffett was next in line with nine kills, while
Noelia Rocha,
Avynn La Rose, and
D'Nari Mills each posted seven in the effort.

Defensively,
Amaya Constantino posted a team-best 18 digs, with
Peyton Kriegel next in line with 14 and Mills at 12.

Mills also posted a match-high five blocks, three of them solo, while La Rose added three solo blocks, and Moffett chipped in three blocks.

SE would use a late set rally in the opening frame, erasing a five-point deficit using an 11-3 run to take the set 25-22 for the 1-0 lead.

The Storm would jump ahead early in set two and never trail, using an 8-1 run to open a big lead and pull away for a 25-18 win and a 2-0 lead.

Southeastern would jump out to an early lead again in the third set, but UAM would close the set on an 18-5 streak to win the frame 25-19.

SE would close out the match in commanding fashion a set later, jumping out to a 12-3 lead before pulling away for a 25-11 win in the set to clinch the match 3-1.
