DURANT, Okla. – No. 8-seed Southeastern volleyball is set to play top-seed Harding in the opening round of the Great American Conference Tournament on Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. in Hot Springs, Ark.
The Savage Storm finished the season with a 12-16 record overall and 7-9 mark in the GAC.
This will mark the third GAC Tournament appearance for head coach
Nicole Solum-Mitchell.
If Southeastern wins against Harding, they will move on in the bracket to face the winner between Oklahoma Baptist or Southwestern Oklahoma State in the semifinals which are set for 5 p.m. on Nov. 17 with the tournament final scheduled for 3 p.m. on Nov. 18.
D'Nari Mills enters the postseason ranked fifth in the nation in kills with 4.74 per set, ranking atop the GAC by nearly a full kill per set.
Noelia Rocha is next in line with 2.22 kps, while
Faith Kruebbe and Michera Moffet are averaging at least one kill per set.
Maci Morrison has stepped into setting duties over the final two weeks and averages 6.05 assists per set.
Across the back row,
Amaya Constantino leads the team with 3.50 digs per set. Joined by Mills with 2.65 and
Patience Lewis with 2.62.
Harding finished the regular season with an 18-10 record and a 13-3 mark in the GAC.
Skyler McKinnon leads the team on offense with 2.92 kills per set, while defensively Emma Winiger leads the way with 4.56 digs per set.
