DURANT, Okla. – Sophomore forward
Robert Briley has picked up Great American Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors following his performance last week for Southeastern.
Â
The Wirght City, Okla., native came off the bench in both contests and led SE in scoring for the weekend, averaging 15.0 ppg while shooting an incredibly efficient 75.0 percent from the floor overall and 91.7 percent at the free throw line.
Â
He would also connect on the only three-point bucket that he took across two games.
Â
In addition, he would tack on 4.0 rebounds per contest and add two assists and a steal for the weekend.
Â
He was a big part of Southeastern's Friday afternoon win over Lubbock Christian, hitting 7-of-9 from the floor and finishing with 20 points before coming back a day later and chipping in a 10-point effort versus Texas-Permian Basin.
Â
Briley and Southeastern will be back in action on Nov. 30 when they open GAC play versus Southern Nazarene at 7:30 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
