Mahy Picks up GAC Weekly Award

DURANT, Okla. – After tossing a no-hitter as part of a Southeastern series sweep over the weekend, Cheyenne Mahy has picked up Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week honors.
 
The seniors form Atwater, Calif., improved her record to 3-1 after going 1-1 last week as the team posted a 3-2 mark for the week.
 
Mahy put together seven inning no hitter versus Southwestern in a 3-0 win where she allowed just two baserunners while striking out six.
 
It is her second career no-hitter for the Storm after posting her first last season in a win over East Central.
 
She would suffer a loss in her other start, but doing so after allowing three runs, two of them earned, in five innings against No. 4 ranked Texas-Tyler.
 
Southeastern will return home for a three-game weekend series against Oklahoma Baptist March 10-11 at the Southeastern Softball Field.
