DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern volleyball is set to open the season at the Yellowjacket Volleyball Invitational on Sept. 1-2 in Billings, Mont.
The Savage Storm will open against Minot State at 1 p.m., followed by 5 p.m. vs Black Hills State on September 1.
SE also plays on Sept. 2 vs Mary at 9 a.m., followed by Montana State-Billings at 1 p.m.
The storm return 10 players from the 2022 season, led by all-conference selection
D'Nari Mills,
Ruthie Forson all-conference honors,
Avynn La Rose, and
Peyton Kriegel.
Last season Mills averaged 3.74 points per set, on the strength of 3.47 kills per set.
Meanwhile, Forson averaged 4.29 assists per set on the year, while chipping in just over 1 kill per set.
La Rose turned in 31 total blocks a year ago last season, while Kriegel added 2.91 digs per set.
Minot State is coming off the 2022 season in which they posted a 1-26, while Black Hills State had a record of 5-21.
Mary closed out in 2022 with a 6-22 mark, while host Montana State Billings posted a 7-20 record.
