SE Football Set For Thursday Matchup vs. Bisons

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to come back on a short week looking to make a statement when it travels to Searcy, Ark., to take on No. 6/7 Harding on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.
 
Southeastern fans can listen live via the Southeastern Sports Network on GoSoutheastern.com/SESportsNet or across the largest DII radio network in the area with Jay Lindly and Rob Johnson on the call. Local fans can pick up the game on 96.1 FM, while fans across southeastern Oklahoma and north Texas can pick up the games on 94.7 FM in Valliant, Okla., 97.7 in Ardmore, Okla., 99.5 in Rattan, Okla., 102.1 in Atoka, Okla., and 107.5 in Atoka.
 
The Savage Storm enter the matchup with a 5-3 record and riding a three-game winning streak after downing Southwestern Oklahoma State 30-15.
 
The Bisons enter the contest at 7-1 after downing No. 22 Southern Arkansas in a bounce-back win after dropping its first contest of the season a week prior to Ouachita Baptist.
 
The contest will test the Savage Storm's third-ranked rushing defense against the conference and national leader in rushing in HU.
 
SE is allowing 103.9 yards per game on the ground and has moved the defense to third in scoring in the league at 19.4 ppg and fourth in yardage allowed at 292.6 yards per game.


SE gives up the second fewest first downs in the league and ranks atop the GAC in opponent third down conversions, allowing just 22.8 percent to convert.
 
The defense is led by Braeden Winters who is second in the league in tackles with 9.6 per game while Tyveon Williams is ranked 16th with 6.1 stops per outing.
 
Winters and Dylan Sebock each rank in the top-10 in the GAC in tackles for loss, while Sebock is sixth in the conference in sacks.
 
On the backend, Michael Hookfin is second in the league in picks with four and has forced a pair of fumbles.
 
The Storm offense is led by its running game which ranks fourth in the GAC while putting up 175.9 yard per game, led by DJ Brown who is second in the league in rushing with 74.5 yards per game.
 
He is joined by Jonathan Cob who has put up 32.9 yards per game and scored a team-best four touchdowns, while Donovan Shannon is adding 22.5 yards per outing and averaging 5.6 yards per carry with a pair of scores.
 
The Storm passing attack is led by Cergio Perez who has 914 yards and five touchdowns while splitting time with Luek Hohenberger who also has five passing scores and has added 563 yards through the air.
 
Kobe Jennings has been the top target for both and ranks second int eh conference with 55.6 yards per game while adding a team-best four touchdowns.
 
Victor Taylor is next in line with 13 catches, averaging 25.1 yards per catch with three touchdowns, while Gabe Corona and Matthew Nunez each have double-digit catches and 100-plus yards.
 
Harding comes into the game averaging 415.5 yards per game on the ground, led by Braden jay who is averaging 70.9 yards per contest with seven touchdowns.
 
Andrew Miller is next in line with 62.0 ypg and seven scores, while Blake Delacruz leads the team in scoring with 10 touchdowns.
 
Cole Keylon has hit 23-of-40 passes total on the season for 633 yards and nine touchdowns.
 
HU's defense is led by Clark Griffin who has 61 tackles on the year, while Gage Price has logged five sacks and Ty Dugger has four interceptions.
