SE Football Set for Senior Day Nov. 9

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will aim to bounce back as it returns home for the final time during the 2024 season to take on Arkansas Tech at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Paul Laird Field.
 
The game will be the final home contest for 15 members of the Savage Storm football program and Saturday will also see SE celebrate Champions Day, recognizing championships won by the football program in the 1989, 1994, 1999, and 2004 seasons.
 
Southeastern fans can listen live via the Southeastern Sports Network on GoSoutheastern.com/SESportsNet or across the largest DII radio network in the area with Jay Lindly and Rob Johnson on the call. Local fans can pick up the game on 96.1 FM, while fans across southeastern Oklahoma and north Texas can pick up the games on 94.7 FM in Valliant, Okla., 97.7 in Ardmore, Okla., 99.5 in Rattan, Okla., 102.1 in Atoka, Okla., and 107.5 in Atoka.
 
Southeastern saw its three-game winning streak come to an end last Thursday in a loss to nationally ranked Harding, but will enter Saturday's matchup 504 on the year and looking to secure a winning season.
 
Arkansas tech comes to town with a 405 record on the year and is coming off a third-straight loss a week ago.
 
The Storm head into the weekend outscoring and outgaining its opponents, holding a 24.9 to 23.4 edge in the scoring average while outgaining foes 35.0 to 314.6 in total offense.
 
That success has been predicated on Southeastern's running game where it had averaged 173.1 per game as a team which ranks fourth int the GAC.
 
That charge is led by DJ Brown who is third in the league in rushing with 663 yards on the season with three touchdowns, while Jonathan Cobb is next in line with 263 yards and four scores.
 
Donovan Shannon and Luke Hohenberger each have a pair of rushing touchdowns as well.
 
Cergio Perez has paced the quarterbacks through the air on the season with 1,038 yards and six touchdowns, while Hohenberger, when healthy, has added 563 yards and five scores.
 
Kobe Jennings leads the way for the receivers with 512 yards on 29 catches with a team-high five touchdowns, while Gabe Corona and Victor Taylor each have over 300 yards in receiving.
 
Braeden Winters leads the defense with 67 tackles on the year, including 7.5 for a loss and three sacks, while Tyveon Williams is right behind with 57 stops, including three for a loss.
 
Dylan Sebock has racked up a team-best 4.5 sacks on the season, while Michael Hookfin had seven pass breakups and four interceptions on the season along with three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
 
ATU comes in averaging 21.7 ppg on offense with 328.7 yards per game of total offense that is paced by 208.7 yards of passing per outing.
 
Ethan Everson leads the way under center for the Wonder Boys, connecting on 55.6 percent of his passes for 1,142 yards and seven touchdowns.
 
Joyrion Chase has been his top target on the season with 34 catches for 392 yards and a touchdown, while Caleb Tanis has 390 yards and two touchdowns on 26 receptions.
 
Deuce Wise leads the rushing attack with 495 yards on the year while Luke Gall has score four TDs on the ground.
 
Jyrin Steward and Javon Love each have more than 50 tackles to lead the ATU defense, while Israel Whitmore has a team-high 3.5 sacks while CJ Palmer has snagged three interceptions.
