DURANT, Okla. – For the second-straight week and the third time this season, Southeastern's
Brennen Burns has been named the Great American Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Last week he helped power Southeastern to a pair of wins, taking out Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas on the team's final road trip into Arkansas.

The wins also helped the Storm become the first team to clinch a berth in the league's postseason tournament.

Burns opened the weekend with an 18-point performance against Arkansas-Monticello and turned in a double-double with 11 assists in the effort.

He would follow that with a 24-point night in a narrow win over Southern Arkansas, including game-clinching free throws in the final seconds.

He would shoot 64.3 percent from the field for the weekend while averaging 21.0 ppg and handing out 7.0 assists per contest.
