DURANT, Okla. –
Gracie Ore led a trio of Southeastern softball players who picked up All-Great American conference honors while three others picked up academic recognition form the league as the conference announced its year end award on Wednesday night on the eve of the postseason tournament.

Ore earned first team honors in the outfield, with
Kady Fryrear earning second team recognition at first base, with
Emily Simmons picking up an honorable mention selection as a pitcher.

Additionally, senior
Kamryn Rackley, and juniors
Abby Beck and
BreAnna Beste each picked up GAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete Awards for their efforts in the classroom.

Ore, a senior from Stillwater, Okla., led the Savage Storm offense with a .370 average on the season, collecting eight doubles and three home runs while driving in 28 RBI on the season. She drew 19 walks and has posted an OPS of .949 on the year.

Fryrear, a senior from Tuttle, Okla., was right behind Ore offensively with a .366 average that included 11 doubles, one triple, and two home runs with 21 RBI. She slugged .507 and carried a team-high OPS of 1.013. She was also one of the best defensive first baseman in the league, finishing the regular season with a .990 fielding percentage.

Simmons, a freshman from Houston, Texas, posted an 8-8 record in the circle in her first season at the college level with a 3.19 ERA, both team highs while also turning in a team-best 93 strikeouts. At the plate she was a .274 hitter with three doubles and five home runs while driving in 18 runs.

Southeastern will open the 2024 GAC Tournament on May 2 at 1 p.m. versus Arkansas-Monticello in Bentonville, Ark.
