DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern put together 182 yards on the ground but were unable to offset the rushing performance of second-ranked Harding on Thursday night as the Savage Storm fell 35-7 at Paul Laird Field at Spend Life Wisely Stadium.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 2-4 overall on the season heading into its next matchup set for Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. versus Northwestern Oklahoma State back home at Spend Life Wisely Stadium.

SE put up 182 yards rushing led by
Levay Duncan who finished the night with 60 yards on 21 carries.

Donovan Shannon was next in line with 53 on seven totes while Johnathan Cobb added 3q1 yards on 10 carries.

Kameron Lockhart scored the team's touchdown and finished with 31 yards on three carries.

SE finished with 95 yards through the air with Duncan connecting on four passes for 89 yards, led by
Kobe Jennings 76 yards on two receptions.

The defense was led by
William Wallis who picked up nine tackles on the night, while
Prince Dweh was right behind with eight stops, including one for a loss.

Braeden Winters added five tackles, while
Andrew Grissom and
De'Angelo Shanks picked up four each with a TFL apiece.

Shanks also lodged a sack, while Grissom forced and recovered a fumble.

Harding scored twice in the first quarter, mounting a 14-0 lead at the first break but Southeastern would cap an eight-play, 75-yard drive early in the second with Lockhart scoring around the right side for a 23-yard touchdown run, cutting the deficit to 14-7 with 11:35 to go in the half.

The score was the first time this season that a team scored a first-half touchdown against HU.

The Bisons answered with a quick scoring drive to take a 21-7 lead with 10:30 to go in the second quarter.

SE regained possession and used 14 plays and burned nearly seven minutes off the clock but was unable to produce points, leaving the score 21-7 at the halftime break.

HU got the ball to start the second half and used just one play to go 76 yards and push its lead to 28-7 22 seconds into the second half.

Southeastern moved the ball to the Bisons 35 yardline over 10 plays on the next drive, but an interception inside the five yardline ended its scoring hopes on fourth down.

Harding followed with another scoring drive to push its lead to 35-7 with 3:10 to go in the third.

The score remained there heading to the fourth quarter where the teams traded short drives to open the final frame.

Harding took its next drive into Southeastern territory before an unforced fumble was recovered by
Tre Martin.

However, the Storm was unable to take advantage, ultimately leaving the final score 35-7.
