Men's Rodeo Finishes Second at FSCC

FT. SCOTT, Kan. – Southeastern placed three riders in the top-five in the bareback riding competition to lead the Savage Storm men's team to a second-place finish at the Ft. Scott CC Rodeo over the weekend.
 
Luke Thrash paced that group, landing a 77 on his first ride which was good for fourth place before coming back on his second ride with a 78. That second ride was good for second in the round and lifted him to second in the average.
 
Braden Tryer was next in line behind him, bouncing back from a 67 on his first ride which was good for fifth, to post the top ride in round two with an 80 to win the round and move up to third in the average.
 
Tyler Griffin rounded out the trio, first by splitting 2^nd/3^rd with a score of 78 in the first round before following it up with a 63 on his second ride which moved him to fifth in the average.
 
Owen Brouillette also competed, taking a no score in the first round but finishing third on his second ride with a score of 77.
 
In the saddle Bronc riding, Brett Coffman scored a 74 in the first round which was good for sixth before coming back on his second ride with a 75 to move up to fifth in the round. His consistency was rewarded as he finished third in the average.
 
Jarvis Demery clocked a 9.9 in the first round of the tie down roping to finish third and earn a spot in the finals, but closed out the event with a 19.2 in the finals to drop out of the average.
 
Southeastern rodeo will be back in action when it travels t Gaden City, Kan., April 4-6 for the Garden City CC Rodeo.
