Savage Storm Rodeo Set for CNFR June 14-20

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to send six members of its men's rodeo team and four members of its women's squad to represent the Savage Storm at the College National Finals Rodeo June 14-20 in Casper, Wyo.
 
SE's men's team advances to the CNFR following a regional championship that saw it win the Central Plains region by nearly 500 points, while the women's team advances after a runner-up finish in the region.
 
Blake Carter on the men's team and Emma Ricke on the women's each advance in the all-around and will compete in two events apiece.
 
Carter will rope in the tie down roping, which he won the regional championship in, as well as the team roping.
 
Ricke will rope in the breakaway roping where she was fourth regionally and ride in the barrel racing where she ranked third.
 
Rounding out the men's team were gauge McBride and Tyler Griffin who are each riding in the bareback riding, Waylon Buquoi and Caden Bunch in the bull riding, with Justin Ochs also advancing in the team roping.
 
On the women's side, Jaiden Wilmoth joins Ricke in the barrel racing, while Jillian Presley and Lauren Weller advance in the goat tying.
 
McBride, Buquoi, Bunch, Griffin, and Ricke will all make their first appearances on Sunday afternoon in the "Bulls, Broncs, and Breakaway" matinee performances, with McBride, Buquoi, and Bunch riding during the 1 p.m. show, while Griffin and Ricke compete in the 4 p.m. show.
 
Each competitor will have three runs in their event throughout the week in an effort to make the finals which are set for June 20 at 7 p.m.
