GOODWELL, Okla. – Southeastern's men's rodeo team powered its way to a season-high 1,060 team points to not only lock up a team title at the Oklahoma Panhandle State Rodeo, but also rally for a Central Plains Region team championship.

The women's team turned in a 10
th place finish in the final event of the season and were able to hang on to the second-place position in the regional rankings, allowing both teams to advance to the College National Finals as team participants.

Blake Carter took home the all-around title over the weekend after winning the tie down roping and finishing second in the team roping.
Â
That finish allowed Carter to win the all-around in the region which will let him compete at the CNFR in both the tie down roping and the team roping.
Â
In the tie down, Carter took the first round with a 9.7 and followed with a second-place time of 10.4, ultimately taking the top spot in the average.

He took the regional title in the tie down by 360 points over the second-place finisher.

Lucas Peterson were second in the team roping, finishing third in the first round on a ride of 9.1 and first in the finals with a time of 7.8 to move to second in the average.

They finished second due to teammate
Justin Ochs and his partner Treyson Larmon from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M who clocked a 7.0 on their first run to win the long go and finish second in the finals with an 8.0, holding onto the top spot in the standings.

Ochs finishes the season as the regional champion heeler, over 400 points ahead of second place.

Lucas Peterson took home the top spot on the weekend in the steer wrestling, finishing second in the long go with a run of 6.7 before closing the weekend with a 6.6 and another second-place finish in the finals, lifting his average to the top spot.

Peterson just missed the top three in the region in the event, finishing fourth place just 55 points out of third.

SE had a trio of riders make the finals in the bareback riding at OPSU, with
Tyler Griffin and Guage McBride splitting second on a ride of 75 each, while
Cole Kerner was fourth in the long go with a 65.

Kerner followed with a 71 in the finals while Griffin took a 49 and McBride had a turnout, allowing Kerner to move to second in the average while Griffin slipped to third.

On the women's side,
Emma Ricke reached the finals with a time of 17.27, and followed it with a 17.24 in the finals which was good for sixth in the round and sixth in the average.

Rainey Coffman reached the finals in the breakaway roping, splitting fourth with a time of 26 before following with a no time in the finals which took her out of the average.
