WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Southeastern combined to pick up five event championships as the women took home the team title and the men finished fourth at the Southwestern Oklahoma State Rodeo in Weatherford, Okla.

On the men's side, Guage McBride picked up a championship in the bareback riding,
Blake Carter won the tie down roping,
Levi James won the team roping as a header, and
Waylon Buquoi won the bull riding, while the women's team featured
Lauren Weller who won the goat tying.

Weller led the women's team with her win in the goat tying posting times of 7.3 in both rounds to win the long and the short go.
Â
She was joined in the finals by Jilian Presley who finished third overall after opening with a 7.9 before clocking a 7.4 in the finals to finish second in the round and third in the average.

Emma Ricke also advanced with a 7.6 in the first round which was good for third before posting a 10 in the finals to finish eighth in the average.

Presley moves to fourth in the Central Plains standings in the goat tying, with Weller in fifth, while
Kayleah Hurst is sitting in 12
th.

Ricke, Presley, and
Jaiden Wilmoth advanced to the finals in the barrel racing, led by Ricke who posted a 16.64 in the first round before winning the final round with a 16.16 to move to a fourth-place tie in the average.

Wilmoth was next in line, posting s 16.62 in the long-go before splitting second place with a time of 16.20 in the finals, lofting her to sixth in the average.

Presley made her way to the finals after splitting sixth place on a run of 16.52, but her 16.57 in the finals would take her out of the average.
Â
Ricke currently holds down second place in the regional standings, while Wilmoth checks in ranked seventh.

For the men, McBride,
Cole Kerner, and
Tyler Griffin each picked up points in the bareback.
Â
McBride finished third in the first go with a 72 before posting an 80.5 in the second go to win the round and the average.
Â
Kerner was sixth in the first round on a ride of 63 and matched it with a sixth-place finish run of 70 on his second ride to finish sixth in the average.
Â
Griffin posted a 54 on his first ride and closed out the weekend with a 74, finishing fourth in the second round and just missing out on the average.

McBride comes out of the weekend ranked fourth in the region in the bareback riding, followed in fifth by
Colton Matlock, with Griffin in seventh and Kerner in eighth.

Blake Carter picked up a win in the tie down roping where he caught and tied in a 9.1 to open the weekend and win the first go. He matched it with another 9.1 to win the finals and take home the average.

Carter continues to pace the tie down roping in the region with a 350-point lead over second place, while
Lucas Peterson checks in fifth in the region.

James was one-half of the champion team roping duo at SWOSU, joining Murray State's Case Phillips, posting an 8.4 in the first round before following up with a 5.6 to win the finals and take the top spot in the average.
Â
James is currently the sixth-ranked header in the region while
Justin Ochs is the top ranked heeler.
Â
Buquoi took home the top spot in the bull riding, posting the high score in each round with a 77 to open and an 81 in the finals to lock up wins in both rounds and the average.
Â
Buquoi leads the bull riding in the region by 320 points over second place which is held by teammate
Caden Bunch.
Â
Peterson and
Rowdy Nimrod each advanced to the finals in the steer wrestling, with Nimrod finishing sixth in the first round on a run of 5.3 but a no time took him out of the average.
Â
Peterson posted a 6.5 to open and finished third in the finals on a run of 5.5 which lifted him to fifth in the average.
Â
Nimrod is currently in ninth in the region in the steer wrestling.
Â
SE has a competitor ranked in each of the all-arounds as well, with Ricke holding onto second place in the region while Kerner is ranked third on the men's side.

Both the men's and the women's teams have moved into second-place in the region standings.
