DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State men's tennis improves to 10-3 on the year with a 6-1 win over Seward County on Friday morning.
The Storm made quick work at the No. 3 line of the doubles round, as
Luis Ching and
Luke Tinnock won 6-2 to give SE the early advantage in the round. The partnership of
Benjamin Fracassi and
Djordje Kurcubic soon followed at court two with a 7-5 win, capturing the doubles point for the blue and gold and putting SE ahead 1-0 in the match.
The lead for the Storm soon grew to 3-0 with wins by Ching and Fracassi at No. 1 and No. 4, respectively. Ching, at the No. 1 line, swept all six points in the first set and followed with a 6-3 set win, while Fracassi won his match at the No. 4 spot in straight sets by scores of 6-4 and 6-4. Southeasern's hot start to the singles round continued at the No. 5 line, with
German Vallejo getting a win in straight sets to clinch the match win 4-0.
Southeastern (10-3, 1-1) returns to action on Thursday, Apr. 17, with a road match at Southern Arkansas at 1 p.m.
