FORT SMITH, Ark. – Southeastern suffers its second conference loss of the season, falling to Arkansas-Fort Smith 5-2 on the road.
The doubles point went to the hosts, who took all three matches to open with a 1-0 lead. UAFS stayed on the front foot to start the singles round with a pair of wins to extend its lead before
German Vallejo put the Storm on the board with a win at No. 5, 3-1.
Not long after, the Lions found the win at spot two.
Djordje Kurcubic would add a win in the final singles match to close out the contest, with a 6-2 and 6-2 win at the No. 6 line.
Southeastern (10-4, 1-2) heads to Magnolia for its next round of conference play, as they take on Southern Arkansas on Saturday, Apr. 19 at 11 a.m.
