CASPER, Wyo. –
Cutter Cain and his team roping partner Dace Morris provided the first sparks for Southeastern as the duo took the top spot in the first round to lead a group of five top-10 finishes across Monday night and Tuesday at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo.

Cain and Morris posted a 5.7 in the opening round to take the top spot by half a second.

However, the pair followed up in the second round with a no time.

SE continued its strong showing in the bareback riding as Braden Tyrer and Tyler Griffin finished tied for sixth with matching scores of 79 in the round, while
Luke Thrash was just a point behind with a 78 to finish 10
th in the round.

In the tie down roping,
Blake Carter followed up his first-round effort with another top-10 finish in the second round as he clocked a 9.3 to finish 10
th.

Unfortunately,
Rowdy Nimrod suffered a no time in the round.

On the women's side,
Emma Ricke led the way in the barrel racing for the Storm, turning in a 14.28 to finish 11
th.
Â
Casey Mathis was right behind with a 14.32 to finish 14
th, while
Laney Hoffmann clocked a 14.58 to finish 20
th in the round.

Ricke then opened the third round on Tuesday night with a 14.20 which I currently tied for first place through 11 competitors.

Hannah Giger posted a 3.3 second run in the second round of the breakaway which was good tot tie for 22
nd in the round.

Ricke added a 25
th place finish in the goat tying with a run of 7.0, while Giger was on her heels with a 7.3 to finish tied for 30
th.
