BETHANY, Okla. – Southeastern piled up 443 yards of total offense and forced four turnovers en route to a 27-21 road victory over Southern Nazarene on Saturday afternoon in Bethany, Okla.

The win evens the Savage Storm record at 2-2 heading into an Oct. 4 road trip to Russellville, Ark., to take on Arkansas Tech at 2 p.m.

Levay Duncan led the SE offense with 203 yards of total offense, hitting 10-of-19 through the air for 144 yards and a touchdown while also adding 59 yards on the ground on 10 carries.

Colton Howard split time at the QB spot with Duncan and finished the game 8-of-14 for 72 yards and a touchdown.

Kobe Jennings led all receivers with 102 yards on five catches with a touchdown, while
Jax Sternberger added 45 yards on three catches.

Trevin Hohenberger picked up his first touchdown of the season as well.

Donovan Shannon led the way on the ground with 80 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, followed by Duncan's 59 yards and Johnathan Cobb's 55 on 19 carries.

Kameron Lockhart also turned in a rushing score and finished with 33 yards on five carries.

The defense was stout, holding the Crimson Storm to 161 yards of total offense, including 30 yards passing and 130 yards on the ground.

SE forced four turnovers, all interceptions with
Kole McKnight,
Andrew Grissom,
Josh Dobbins, and Kameron Fields each snagging a pick.

Joshua Johnson added a pair of sacks, while
William Billings and
Brandon Green added one each.

Wiliam Wallis led the way with five tackles, while
Joseph Jones checked in with four.

Southeastern struck first in the first quarter as Shannon scampered in from 11-yards out to put the Savage Storm in front 7-0 with 5:41 to go in the first quarter.

SNU answered with a three-play, 66-yard drive to knot the game at 7-7 early in the second quarter.

The Crimson Storm took the lead with 6:39 to play in the half after blocking an SE field goal attempt and returning it for a score and a 14-7 lead.

Southeastern responded by driving 75 yards on 13 plays and taking 5:38 off the clock before Duncan hit
Trevin Hohenberger for a 13 yard touchdown, knotting the game at 14-14 with 1:01 to play.

Andrew Grissom quickly ended the ensuing SNU drive with his first interception of the season and the Savage Storm capitalized with Howard connecting with Jennings for a three-yard TD toss, but a missed PAT left the SE lead at 20-14 at the half.

Lockhart extended that lead midway through the third quarter, scoring from 15 yards out to cash in a McKnight interception, taking just one play to push the lead to 27-14 with 7:09 to play in the third.

SE looked to have forced another turnover on the first play of the fourth quarter, but the forced fumble was negated and was made worse by a pair of personal foul penalties against the Savage Storm, setting up a SNU touchdown a minute and a half later to cut the lead to 27-21.

Southeastern set up to extend its lead with just over a minute but saw its second field goal blocked with SNU returning it into Savage Storm territory with 53 seconds to play.

Two plays into the ensuing drive the SE defense would ice the contest with a Field interception.

SE would take a knee to end the contest and leave Bethany, Okla., with the 27-21 win.
