EDMOND, Okla. – The Southeastern men's golf team is 18
th at the Skip Wagnon Invitational after two rounds of play with a score of 23-over 583.
The Savage Storm got the day started, shooting 14-over 294 in the first round, and followed in the second round with their best team score of the day, carding a 9-over 289.
Austin Skierski paced the blue and gold lineup with an even-par 140 over the two rounds. Skierski shot even-par 70 in round one with four birdies and followed with a 70 in the second, recording three more birdies and an eagle on the Par 5 Hole 12.
Tristun Burnham followed with a 3-over 143, with his best round coming in the second with an even-par 70. Burnham got the day started with a 3-over 73 and later scattered four birdies in the second round to help him reach an even-par 70.
Nicholas Martin started day one with a 4-over 74 and later matched his first-round score in the second with another 4-over 74 to end the day 8-over 148.
Hunter Beasley capped off the day with a 12-over 152, firing in rounds of 7-over 77 and 5-over 75. In the second round, Beasley tallied three birdies, including back-to-back ones on the first and second holes of the front nine.
Southeastern concludes play at the Skip Wagnon Invitational from the Kickingbird Golf Course tomorrow with round three.
