RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – For the first time this season,
Carley Button was named the Great American Conference Golfer of the Week.

Button led all GAC players at the Jack Brown Memorial Tournament with a 36-hole score of 10-over 152 to tie for 11
th individually. The junior from Denton, Texas, shot 10-over 81 in the first round before firing in her best score of the event in the second round with an even par 71. Button was one of six players to shoot par or better on day two, and finished with five birdies across the second round.

The Savage Storm placed eighth as a team in their first tournament back from winter break and would finish ahead of tenth-place Arkansas-Monticello. SE compiled a score of 67-over 635, shooting 39-over 323 in round one and 28-over 312 in the second.
