DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Director of Athletic
Keith Baxter has announced that
Kyle Braudrick will be the head coach of the Savage Storm rodeo program, removing the interim tag he had carried since the end of November.
Â
"Kyle is no stranger to the SE Rodeo program," said Baxter, "Serving as the assistant for several years and as of late, the Interim Head Coach. During that time, he has helped to build and now lead our program. I am confident Kyle will do everything in his power to continue to build a successful Rodeo program based on a commitment to character, academics and competition."
Â
Braudrick has been an integral part of building the program to its current level of success since coming on to assist his wife Christie in the summer of 2013.
Â
He has handled the rough stock competitors for the Storm, helping guide eight competitors to CNFR appearances across the bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, and steer wrestling in just the last three seasons.
Â
Due in large part to his work, SE has become a destination for rough stock competitors looking to advance at the regional and national level.
Â
He took on the interim role in November of 2025 following the departure of Christie Braudrick and has seamlessly maintained the competitiveness of Southeastern rodeo.
Â
Braudrick and the SE Rodeo Program have already opened the spring slate with a trip to Manhattan, Kan., where the men turned in a first-place finish while the women finished third.
