NORMAN, Okla. –
Nicholas Martin was named a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Monday.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.
Additionally, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
The Frisco, Texas native competed in all 11 events for the Savage Storm in 2025-26, compiling a 74.97 stroke average with five top-15 finishes, including two top-10 placements. Martin saw his best round of play at the Battle for the Belt, where he shot 1-under 216 over 54 holes and earned a ninth-place finish individually. The redshirt-junior posted his best individual placement at the Crusader Cup, collecting an eighth-place finish after two rounds of play at 13-over 157.
