EDMOND, Okla. – Southeastern drops the first match of the GAC/MIAA Crossover, 3-1, to No. 22 Central Oklahoma in the Hamilton Field House on Thursday.
 
Jasmin Dion reached 1,000 career assists in the match, dishing out 36 against the Bronchos. Dion also tallied 11 digs for her second double-double of the season.

Nykeriah Allen led the attack with a career-high 12 kills and added a team-best 4.0 total blocks, while Gabby Jones and Layla Wilson each had seven kills. Patience Lewis paced the back row with 25 digs, and Merrick Hammel joined in double figures with 11.
 
Southeastern (4-6, 0-1) concludes the GAC/MIAA Crossover tomorrow with two matches. The Savage Storm face Northeastern State at 10 a.m. in Edmond, Okla., before heading to Shawnee, Okla., to take on Fort Hays State at 4 p.m.
 
SET ONE
SE and UCO were locked in from the opening serve, as the two sides traded points to 4-4, but the Bronchos began to flex their muscles, building a 21-7 gap. The UCO attack remained red-hot, as the host took the first 25-9.
 
SET TWO
The Bronchos jumped on the Storm early in set two, taking a 7-3 lead, but errors by UCO and back-to-back service aces by Taylor Pitts pulled the set back to a 16-16 tie. Southeastern soon took its first lead of the frame behind a kill by Anger Ngeth, and Dion would push it to 20-18 with another ace. SE kept its two-point gap through a Rylee Jackson, but a quick flurry by UCO propelled the Bronchos to a set win, 25-23.
 
SET THREE
Kills by Jones and Ngeth got the Storm going in the third, and Wilson would hammer down one not long after to give SE a 6-4 edge. From there, the two sides were locked in a tie four times before Southeastern built a 4-0 run to jump ahead 21-15. The Broncos would apply pressure late, pulling within one twice, but the Storm would close the door on a kill by Jones to secure a 25-23 win.
 
SET FOUR
Southeastern led 8-7 to start set four through three kills by Wilson before the two sides were tied at 9-all and 10-all. UCO was first to break the deadlock, racing to an 18-13 lead on a 7-3 run. The blue and gold trimmed the gap to three behind kills from Wilson and Ngeth, but the Bronchos picked up the pace again to claim a 25-18 set victory.
