Storm Football On the Road to Face SWOSU Saturday

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set for its first in-state road trip when it travels to Weatherford, Okla., to take on Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. at Flex-Chem Field at Milam Stadium.

Local fans can pick up the game on 96.1 FM, while fans across southeastern Oklahoma and north Texas can pick up the games on 94.7 FM in Valliant, Okla., 97.7 in Ardmore, Okla., 99.5 in Rattan, Okla., 102.1 in Atoka, Okla., and 107.5 in Atoka.
 
The Savage Storm enter the contest with a 1-1 record on the year following a narrow loss in the home opener to Ouachita Baptist, 23-17.
 
SE outgained the Tigers 400-to-299, including putting up over 300 yards passing, led by Levay Duncan's 245-yard effort.
 
That performance lifted him to averaging 136.0 yards per game through the air with a touchdown while also leading the team in rushing with 55.5 yards per outing with a pair of scores.
 
His top target last week was Jax Sternberger who hauled in 12 catches for 139 yards as he now leads all receivers on the squad in both categories.
 
Sean Steens is next in line with 100 yards and a TD on six grabs.
 
Jaylen Holloway is second on the team in rushing with 39.5 yards per outing, while Chancy Lester Jr. has the team's remaining rushing score.
 
The Storm defense has been stout, giving up just 17.5 ppg while holding opponents to 241.5 yards per game of total offense.
 
SE has racked up six sacks over two games, led by William Wallis with three and Dylan Sebock with two.
 
Prince Dweh leads the way with 13 tackles, while Wallis has 12 stops and Solomon Macfoy is third in line with 10.
 
Wallis and Sebock each have a trio of tackles for loss, while Tony Hamilton has an interception and Kole McKnight has broken up three passes.
 
SWOSU comes into the weekend with an 0-2 record after losses to Arkansas Tech and second-ranked Harding.
 
The Bulldogs are putting up 17.0 ppg while allowing 31.5 per game on defense.
 
Knox Dyson leads the way for SWOSU with 180.5 yards per game through the air on 33-of-52 passing with a touchdown and three picks.
 
DeAndre Beasley has been the top target with 15 catches and 232 yards with a score, while Marcus Dockins Jr. is next in line with 83 yards on seven grabs and a touchdown.
 
Keith Rockwell leads the rushing attack with 48.0 yards per game on the ground on 14 carries with a touchdown, while Charles Mutter has a team-high 17 carries and has a TD of his own.
 
Keshaun Jackson paces the SWOSU defense with 22 tackles and a team-high two sacks, while Malcom Gooden is next in line with 19 tackles.
