Southeastern Sets Sights On Tigers

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern heads into the final week of the regular season fighting for a bid to the Great American Conference tournament and arch-rival East Central is standing directly in its way as the two square off in a three-game series April 26-26 in Ada, Okla.

Game one is set for 2 p.m. on Friday, followed by a 1 p.m. twinbill on Saturday.
 
The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 22-18 record overall and a 14-13 mark in GAC play.
 
That leaves them one game behind Harding for the sixth and final spot in the conference tournament.
 
There are a plethora of scenarios that range from the Storm reaching the field as high as a five seed or missing it entirely.
 
SE's best scenarios hinge on a three-game sweep of the Tigers or at least taking two-of-three in the series.
 
The Storm are coming off a series victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State, taking two-of-three, but saw SWOSU snap a four-game winning streak in the finale.
 
SE features five players hitting over .300 with Evan Ramsey pacing the club at .360 on the year with team-highs of 34 RBI and eight home runs.
 
Vance Woodruff paces the starting rotation with a 3.10 ERA and a 4-7 record with 80 strikeouts, while Brandon Marris is 4-3 on the year with a 3.56 ERA.
 
Cameron Mann is 4-1 with nine saves and a 3.74 ERA.
 
ECU enters the weekend at 9-23 on the year and 3-24 on GAC play and have lost 13-of-their-last 15 games.
 
The Tigers feature a pair of .300 hitters, led by Michael Mariano who is batting .385 on the season, whole Ethan Gold's two home runs lead the team as do Mac Grace's 19 RBI.
 
ECU has a 7.53 staff ERA, led by Gabriel Martinez who is 4-7 on the year with two saves and a 4.32 ERA.
