Box Score 2 LAREDO, Texas – For the first time since the opening of the 2011 season, Southeastern was swept on opening day, dropping game one to Texas A&M-International 5-4 before falling 6-1 in the second game on Saturday afternoon in Laredo, Texas.

The final game of the series is set for a noon first pitch on Sunday afternoon.

Playing game one as the seven inning game, the Storm got a
Chance Burcham sac fly to score
Jacob Soisson and take a 4-3 lead into the seventh inning.

After not being able to add to it in the top half, TAMIU answered with a pair of unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh, scoring the game winner on a fielder's choice play at the plate with the throw from the pitcher off the mark.

A pair of errors in the seventh inning brought the total to four on the game and the Dustdevils took advantage with three of their five runs being unearned.

SE took the first lead with a
Chevis Springer RBI groundout scoring
Ryan Salter in the top of the first.
Â
TAMIU, however, answered with a pair of runs in the bottom half for a 2-1 lead.
Â
That grew to 3-1 with an unearned run in the bottom of the third.

A fourth inning
Trevor Bowen double scored Burcham, and a fifth inning solo homer by
Evan Ramsey tied the game at 3-3 after five innings.

Five different players collected a hit in the contest, with Ramsey, Burcham and Bowen collecting an RBI each.

On the hill,
Dwight Camp got the start and allowed three runs, two earned, over 4.0 innings with five hits and three strikeouts.

Mathew Benedict tossed 2.0 innings in relief and allowed an unearned run on a hitwith 2 K's before handing off to
Nick Johnson who suffered the loss after tossing just one-third of an inning and allowing one unearned run.

The Storm struck first in game two as well when Burcham double to right-center to score Soisson.
Â
That was all the runs SE would score, however, as TAMIU would add a run in the second and another in the third, followed by two each in the fifth and the sixth to take a 6-1 victory.

Springer, Ramsey, Soisson, Burcham and Bowen each collected a hit, but Burcham drove in the team's only run.

Canyon Conley was hit with the loss in game two after starting and tossing the first 4.1 innings allowing four runs on six hits with nine strikeouts.

Jaime Paxton tossed 2.2 innings in relief and allowed a pair of runs on five hits with two K's.

Jonathan Dailey tossed two-thirds of an inning and allowed a hit before handing off to
Nick Johnson who recorded the final out.
