Box Score 2 DURANT, Okla. – After nearly two weeks off due to weather conditions, No. 10 Southeastern showed some rust on Saturday afternoon, dropping a pair of games to Newman, first falling 6-1 before dropping game two 5-3.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 3-4 on the year as the teams will play another double-header at noon on Sunday.

In the opener, five different players each collected a hit and
Courtney Riddle drove in the team's lone run.

In the circle,
Mindy McElroy got the start but allowed six runs on six hits over 4.0 innings before handing the ball to
Shayna Milam who allowed a hit over 3.0 innings of work.

NU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but a Riddle RBI single scored
Lacie Cook in the bottom of the inning to even the score.

The Jets then took advantage of a pair of SE errors in the second to push the lead to 3-1 and added three-run homer in the fourth to set the final score of 6-1.

Jessica Simmons abs Riddle each collected a pair of hits in the nightcap, while
Sydney Kramer added two RBI and Riddle drove in another.

Jacee Bennett got the start and allowed five runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings pitched before Milam again came on in relief, tossing 1.1 innings and gave up just one walk.

A Kramer sac fly scored Simmons in the first and her single in the third drove in
Shaina Crites and SE staked a 2-0 lead.

NU answered with two in the fourth to even the score, but a Riddle double in the fifth scored Kramer and put the Storm back up 3-2.

The Jets would pick up three in the sixth inning and SE would find no answer, setting the final of 5-3.
