DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will open the busiest portion of its 2014 schedule on March 14 when it opens a three-game conference series on the road in Bethany, Okla., against Southern Nazarene that begins a span of seven games in six days.

The Savage Storm open the first weekend of spring break with a 1 p.m. double-header on Friday against SNU, followed by a 1 p.m. single contest on Saturday afternoon.

SE then returns home for a Sunday, March 16 twin bill when it hosts McMurry at 1 p.m., followed by a return trip to face the War Hawks in Abilene, Texas, with single games at 7 p.m. on March 18 and 1 p.m. on March 19.

The Storm come into the weekend with a 10-12 record overall and a 4-8 mark in Great American Conference play.

The team did snap a losing skid with a double-header split at Arkansas-Fort Smith in its last trip out, downing the Lions 3-0 in game one before dropping the nightcap 9-2.

Chevis Springer who is hitting .308 on the year with three doubles, a triple and a home run with seven RBI and a team best 20 runs scored. He has also swiped 10 bases on the season.
