Box Score 2 BETHANY, Okla. – Southeastern tallied 18 hits and racked up 15 runs over two games en route to a double-header sweep of Southern Nazarene on Friday afternoon in Bethany, Okla.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 12-12 overall on the season and 6-8 in Great American Conference play with the final game of the three-game series set for 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

In the opener,
Jacob Carter and
Collin Sefcik each posted a pair of hits in game one, while six others each collected one hit as the team racked up 11 combined.

Jacob Soisson and
Cody Coats each drove in a pair of runs, while
Chevis Springer,
Brayon Colley and
Chance Burcham each added one RBI.
Â
Colley and
Ryan Salter each added a pair of stolen bases, while Carter stole one.
Â
Canyon Conley got the start and the win, moving to 2-2 on the season after tossing 6.0 innings and allowing three runs, just one of which was earned, on four hits with six strikeouts.

Mathew Benedict tossed the final 3.0 innings and allowed no runs on three hits to pick up the three-inning save, his first of the year.

SNU jumped to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second, taking advantage of an SE error and a wild pitch.

The Storm answered in the top of the third when Colley stole home while Carter stole second on the double steal to make the deficit 2-1.

Sefcik would tie the game in the fourth by scoring on a wild pitch, which was immediately followed by a two-run single by Coats to put the Storm up 4-2.

SE opened the door in the fifth, starting with a Burcham RBI double that plated Carter, followed by a two-run double from Soisson that plated Sefcik and Burcham for a 7-2 lead.

That moved to 8-2 when Soisson scored on an error following a Salter bunt single, and the inning closed on a Springer RBI single that made the score 9-2.

The Crimson Storm got a run back in the fifth to cut the gap to 9-3, but Salter would score thanks to an error in the seventh and Colley would single home
Josh Smith in the top of the ninth to set the final score at 11-3.

In game two, the teams headed into the final inning tied at 3-3.

Burcham singled with one out which was followed by a single by Sefcik.

Soisson completed the trifecta with an RBI single to score Burcham and put the Storm up 4-3.

SNU would get a runner to third in the bottom of the seventh, but
Mason Crenshaw would get the final batter on a full-count strikeout to end the game and earn the day-one sweep and an assured series win.

Crenshaw collected the win on the hill after tossing the final 3.0 innings and allowing just two hits while striking out six of the 13 batters he faced.

Nick Johnson started the contest and lasted 4.0 innings allowing three runs, just one of which was earned, on five hits with four strikeouts.

Sefcik turned in a 3-for-3 effort at the plate with an RBI, while four others picked up hits, including Soisson who drove in the game-winning run.

A Sefick single in the first scored the first run of the game as he plated Springer.

SE added two more runs in the third when Sefcik and Carter each scored when Soisson reached on an error to take a 3-0 lead.

The Crimson Storm answered to tie the game with three runs in the bottom half of the third inning.
