Â
The Crimson Storm put up three in the top of the second to answer and take a 3-2 lead.
Â
It would not last long as Cook drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the second to tie the game at 3-3.

One batter later it was a Kramer three-run double that pushed the lead to 6-3, followed immediately by a Beal RBI single to score Kramer and push the lead to 7-3.
Â
McElroy connected on a two-run homer in the third inning and a Kramer double would score
Darrian Williams to push the SE advantage to 11-3 after three innings.
Â
SNU would answer, however, putting up four runs in the top of the fifth inning to stave off the run-rule and close the gap to 11-7, which would hold to be the final.
Â
In game two, McElroy held the Crimson Storm scoreless on seven hits with one strikeout to move to 8-3 on the season.
Â
It was Kramer again at the plate with a 2-for-3 outing, while four others recorded a hit each.
Â
Kramer added another RBI to her total, while Simmons drove in two. Strawn and
Lauren Renneker each homered in the contest, while Beal drove in a run.
Â
SE jumped ahead on a pair of runs in the first inning despite not recording a hit, first taking advantage of an error on a Cook sac bunt attempt that allowed Simmons to score from second, and then pushing the lead to 2-0 when Beal reached on a fielder's choice as Cook beat the throw home.
Â
Strawn then opened the scoring in the fourth inning with a solo homer, her third of the season.
Â
After loading the bases with the next three hitters, Simmons would single home McElroy and Williams to push the lead to 5-0.
Â
Two batter later, Kramer singled home
Shaina Crites which was immediately followed by Simmons stealing home for the 7-0 lead.
Â
Renneker then brought the game to an early end with one out in the sixth inning with a homer down the left field line, her first of the year, to reach the 8-0 run-rule mark.
