Baseball Set for Series at McMurry

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will take a step out of conference play when it hits the road for a spring break road trip to Abilene, Texas, to face McMurry in a three game series beginning with a 3 p.m. double-header March 18 followed by a 1 p.m. contest on March 19.
 
The Savage Storm just took two-out-of-three from Southern Nazarene in its last outing to move to 12-13 overall on the year and 6-9 in Great American Conference play.
 
SE is led at the plate by Collin Sefcik who is hitting .309 on the season with a pair of triples and 11 RBI.  Cody Coats has driven in a team-high 15 RBI, while Ryan Salter has swiped 15 bases.
 
Mason Crenshaw leads the pitching staff on the year as the closer, posting a 3-1 record with a 1.80 ERA and five saves in 11 appearances.
 
Nick Johnson, Canyon Conley and Mathew Benedict each have a pair of wins, while Conley has struck out 43 batters on the year.
 
The War Hawks enter the series with an 8-13 record and a 5-6 mark in Heartland Conference play and are coming off a series in which it won two-of-three games on the road against Rogers State.
 
The club is paced offensively by Zack Hagan who is hitting .364, while Kyle Sargent and Eric Moritz have each driven in 10 runs.
 
Lanny Zier, Joel DePorte and Mitch Labbie each have a pair of wins on the hill for McMurry, whyile Trevor Daggon leads the team in ERA at 2.33.
