Box Score 2 RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern racked up 17 hits over two games and completed a four-game sweep of Arkansas Tech with wins of 8-3 and 4-1 on Saturday in Russellville, Ark.

The wins lift the Savage Storm to 14-7 overall on the year and 9-3 in Great American Conference play.

The wins also stretch the team's current winning streak to five games and eight of its last nine.

In the opener, SE scored eight runs over the first four innings, starting with a two-run double by
Laramie Beal in the first and an RBI groundout by
Haley Strawn to take a 3-0 lead.

Strawn would add a three-run home run in the third to make the score 6-0.
Â
ATU answered with two runs in the bottom of the third, but a
Lacie Cook two-run homer answered those runs and stretched the lead to 8-2.

The Golden Suns picked up a run in the fifth to make the final score 8-3.
Â
Seven Storm hitters collected hits, led by two each from Cook,
Sydney Kramer and
Arianna Jones.
Â
Strawn collected four RBI in the contest, while Cook and Beal each drove in two.
Â
Jacee Bennett collected the win in the opener after tossing 4.0 innings and allowing two runs on five hits with a pair of strikeouts.
Â
Shayna Milam then picked up the save after tossing 3.0 innings and allowing a run on a hit with two K's.

In the series finale,
Mindy McElroy picked up a complete-game victory after tossing 7.0 innings and allowing a run on three hits with three strikeouts.

Kramer and Strawn each picked up a pair of hits, while Cook, Kramer, McElroy and
Darrian Williams each drove in a run.

Jessica Simmons also added three stolen bases in the game.

The Storm took advantage of a pair of ATU errors in the second inning which allowed Williams to drive in Strawn for a 1-0 lead.

A McElroy RBI double in the fourth scored Strawn again to push the lead to 2-0.

Then in the fifth, Simmons drew a one-out walk and after stealing second scored on a Cook single.
Â
Cook then followed by stealing second as well and scored one batter later on a Kramer RBI single to push the lead to 4-0.

The Suns picked up a run in the bottom of the fifth to fashion he 4-1 final score.
