DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern women's tennis will be aiming to make a move into second in the Great American Conference standings when it faces Harding on April 5 at 1 p.m. in Searcy, Ark.
The Savage Storm enters the matchup with a 6-9 record overall, but is 2-1 in league play with wins over Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist, and the team's lone loss coming to GAC leading Arkansas Tech.
Elba Haugen and
Conchi Assiego have led the team in singles play on the year.
Haugen has put together a 6-6 record on the season, playing at the number four and five positions.
Assiego is 4-5 on the season in singles play, with all her matches at the number three position.
SE's number one duo of
Ilga Racika-Racko and
Brittany Tobin have posted a 2-5 record in the spring facing number ones.
The Bisons come into the weekend with a 10-5 record overall and a 2-0 record in GAC play with conference wins over Southern Nazarene and HSU.
HU is currently on a four-match winning streak and will face league-leading ATU on April 4 before facing the Storm.
