DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will open the 2015 season with its earliest opening pitch ever as it travels to Laredo, Texas, to take on Texas A&M-International Jan. 30-31 for a three game series with a double-header slated for noon on Friday and a single game also set for noon on Saturday.

The Savage Storm enter the 2015 season picked eighth in the Great American Conference following a 23-21 season that ended by winning seven of its last nine games, but finished tied for seventh with a 14-16 conference record.

SE loses its top hitter from a season ago, but returns
Brayon Colley and
Cody Coats who were each int he team's top-5.

In all, the Storm returns six players who started at least half the team's games in the field.

The team's top starter by ERA also returns in
Nick Johnson who posted a 3-4 record despite carrying a 3.92 ERA.

He is joined by
Mathew Benedict and Jonathon Daily who combined to make 25 appearances last season, with Benedict earning a start and posting a 3-1 record with one save.

Southeastern will also welcome 17 newcomers or players who did not play last season to the roster with six of them joining the pitching staff.

The Storm opened the 2014 season against TAMIU in Laredo, dropping the first two games before picking up a 7-3 win in the finale.

The Dustdevils are coming off a 16-34 record overall a season ago and an 8-22 mark in Heartland Conference play.

TAMIU will be led by first-year coach Ryan Flynn and have been picked to finish eighth in the 10 team Heartland Conference.

The Dustdevils return 25 players from 2014, and add five new players to the 2015 roster.
