SE Returns Home to face Harding

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will aim to bounce back from a tough road loss and avenge one of its worst defeats from last season when it hosts Harding at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Paul Laird Field.

Jay Lindly will bring you the action along with Joey McWilliams, Ed Meacham and Bob Sullins with the game carried locally in Durant on Mix 96.1 FM.
 
SE comes into the weekend with a 3-3 record on the heels of a stinging road-loss at Northwestern Oklahoma State.
 
Despite the loss, Ryan Polite tossed his third 300-yard game of the year, finishing with 335 yards and a pair of touchdowns, however the Storm rushing attack never got off the ground, finishing with 42 yards on the day.
 
On the season the offense has been more than capable of moving the ball to the tune of 442.2 yards of total offense per contest, throwing for 283.2 and rushing for 159.0 per game.
 
Polite had completed a league best 61.4 percent of his passes for 1,699 yards and eight touchdowns on the year.
 
Franky Okafor and Kaymon Farmer have been his primary targets, with Okafor leading the team with 435 receiving yards and five touchdowns, while Farmer has a team-high 35 catches.
 
In all SE has four receivers with at least 200 yards receiving on the season.
 
While the offense has put up yardage, the defense has been the backbone in the early part of the season, leading the Great American conference in passing defense, allowing just 148.2 yards per game through the air and is second in total defense with 286.2 yards per game given up.
 
The defense has held opponents to just 138.0 yards per outing on the ground.
 
Kevin Jones has led the charge with a pair of double-digit tackle outings in his last two games and has piled up 40 stops on the season.
 
Raheem Wilson and Nicholas Sierra are next in line with 24 tackles each, while Wilson has added a team best three interceptions.
 
Jacoby Sanders has a pair of picks of his own and the defense has forced 15 turnovers on the year.
 
Sierra and Trent Hannah each have a pair of sacks, while Sierra has 5.5 total tackles for loss on the season.
 
The Bisons come into the contest at 4-2 on the year, but have lost their last two outings.
 
They bring with them one of the league's top rushing games, piling up and average of 346.3 yards per game on the ground with 26 rushing touchdowns.
 
Park parish leads the rushing attack with 472 yards and 13 TD's on the year, but leads a group of five runners with at least 200 rushing yards on the season.
 
HU is averaging 444.7 yards of total offense, adding just 98.0 passing yards per game to their potent rushing attack.
 
Defensively they allow 335.2 yards per game, most of that coming through the air at 222.2 yards per outing, while opponents are rushing for 113.0 yards per contest against them.
 
Daylan Skidmore leads the defense with 49 total tackles, while Madison Firmin has picked up 5.5 sacks on the year.
 
The defense has forced 11 turnovers on the season.
