DURANT, Okla.  – Southeastern opened Great American Conference play with a dominant 7-2 victory over Southern Nazarene on Thursday afternoon at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 8-4 overall on the season and 1-0 in league play as the team faces Collin County CC on March 27 at 1 p.m. at the southeastern Tennis Complex.

SE opened the match with a doubles sweep, taking one doubles in a hard-fought 9-8 (4) victory for
Alexsandra Reljic and
Maria Martinez.

Darija Catipovic and
Conchi Assiego followed with an 8-2 win at number two and
Milena Vitez and
Ilga Racika-Racko rounded out the sweep with an 8-1 win at number three doubles.

The Crimson Storm rallied with wins at numbers one and two to make the score 3-2, but a 6-2, 6-3 win by Catipovic at number three set SE back on track with a 4-2 lead.

The Storm would not lose again as Martinez would clinch the win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number four.

Vitez would add to the final tally with a 6-1, 6-3 win at number five, as would Assiego who rounded out the roster with a 6-2, 6-0 win at number six to fashion the 7-2 win.
