DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will put its postseason hopes on the line when it travels to Ada, Okla., to take on rival East Central April 25-26 with the winner likely earning a spot in the Great American Conference Tournament.

The series starts with a double-header at 1 p.m. on April 25, with a single game set for April 26 also at 1 p.m.

The Savage Storm enter the weekend at 15-22 overall and 11-11 in GAC play heading into the final three games of the conference schedule.

SE and ECU are tied for the sixth spot in the league standings, with the Storm needing to take two-out-of-three from the Tigers along with a loss Arkansas-Monticello in its series against Southern Arkansas. A three-game sweep for SE would lock up a postseason trip to Enid, Okla.

Offensively the team is hitting .293 combined on the year with five hitters at .315 or better, led by
Brandon Grimsley who is hitting .388 with seven home runs and 31 RBI.

Dylan Helms is right behind with a .357 average and team-bests of 17 doubles and two triples.

The pitching staff is led by closer
Brady Colbert who is 5-3 with four saves on the year and a 4.81 ERA in 17 appearances.

Nick Johnson leads the starters with three wins and three complete games with a 6.13 ERA and 34 strikeouts.

The Tigers enter the series at 21-17 overall and 11-11 in league play.

They hit .312 as a team and are led by Nick Spini who is hitting .435 on the year, while Bryce McKee has five homers and a team-high 38 RBI.

Oscar Gomez leads the pitching staff with a 5-1 record and a 3.21 ERA, while Merrick Ardoin handles the closing duties with eight saves on the year.
