DURANT, Okla.  – Southeastern will finish off its season series against rival East Central when it hosts a midweek twinbill at 2 p.m. on April 7 at the Southeastern Softball Field.

The Savage Storm are riding a seven-game winning streak that includes a four-game series sweep of Arkansas-Monticello over the weekend which lifted the SE record to 19-16 overall and 15-5 in Great American conference play which ties them for first place in the league standings.

The two teams met previously in Ada with the Tigers stealing an 11-10 win with a late Storm rally leaving them one run shy, and impending weather stopping the double-header after just one game.

Jordyn James had a grand slam homer and
Courtney Riddle added a two run shot in the game, while
Jessica Simmons connected on three hits and the Storm posted 13 as a team.

Riddle leads the offense on the year with a .409 average, pacing a foursome of .400 hitters with
Arianna Jones at .406,
Haley Strawn at .405 and Simmons at .404.

Riddle, Jones and Strawn each have four homers on the season with Riddle driving in a team-high 35 runs, while five others have at least 20 RBI.

Jacee Bennett and
Jessica Seay each picked up two wins over the weekend, with Bennett moving to 11-7 on the year and Seay to 7-6 while dropping their ERA's to 4.77 and 4.86, respectively.

ECU is coming off a weekend in which it won three of four games from Southern Arkansas, lifting its record to 19-12 overall and 16-7 in GAC play.

Taylor Davis leads the club with a .390 average, while a total of seven players are hitting over .300 on the season.

Jordyn VanPelt has the team's high mark in homers with 11 and RBI at 45.

Marissa Shaffer leads the pitching staff with a 7-6 record and a 3.04 ERA, while Sydney Down has a team-best 48 strikeouts.
