DURANT, Okla.. - Southeastern will make its return to the Great American Conference Tournament on May 2 when it opens play against Southern Arkansas at noon in the first round in Enid, Okla.

The Savage Storm used a series win in the final weekend of the season over rival East Central to reach the tournament as the No. 6 seed after posting a 17-23 record on the season and a 13-12 mark in league play.

SE will be looking to
Brandon Grimsley to pick up where he left off last weekend with a three-home-run performance that earned him HGAC Player of the Week honors.

Grimsley is hitting .387 to lead the team on the season and piled up 10 home runs with 39 RBI to go with eight doubles and 31 runs scored.

He is joined by seven others hitting .300 or better, including
Dylan Helms who is second at .353 on the year with a team-best 18 doubles.
Â
Grimsley's 39 RBI lead the way, while
Corban Taylor, Helms and
Collin Sefcik each have over 20.

The pitching staff is led by
Brady Colbert who has piled up a 5-3 record with five saves in 19 appearances on the year while posting a team-best 4.53 ERA. He has 55 strikeouts ont he year and had held opponents to a .259 average.

Nick Johnson paces the starters with four wins and a 6.03 ERA in 68.2 innings of work with three complete games in 12 starts and 37 strikeouts.

SAU comes in as the top seeded team in the tourney with a 35-15 regular season record and a 20-10 conference mark.

SE took the opener from SAU in their regular season series, but dropped the final two games.

Chris Quinn and Carver Rademacher lead the offense with .338 averages, while Billy Germaine has a team-best 11 homers.

Landon Simpson paces the pitching staff with a 7-4 recorded and a 2.64 ERA, however the Storm handed him one of his losses.
