DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern women's tennis will open the championship portion of its schedule on Feb. 20 when it travels to Ada, Okla., for a neutral site matchup with Cowley County CC at 1 p.m.

The Savage Storm enter the spring picked to finish tied for second in the Great American Conference preseason poll.

The Savage Storm was tied for second with rival East Central, with each team earning 38 points, just two behind preseason favorite Arkansas Tech.

The Storm is coming off a regular season GAC championship a year ago, earning the league's top seed in the conference tournament, but was upset in the semifinals by SNU.

Overall SE posted a 16-7 record on the year which included a eight-game winning streak, while going 5-1 in GAC play.

Southeastern returns its two all-conference honorees in
Alexsandra Reljic and
Darija Catipovic.

Catipovic, a junior from Backa Topola, Serbia, turned in a 15-6 mark in singles and 14-7 record in doubles play.

She and her partner Reljic are 5-1 in doubles play against GAC opponents and 5-1 in singles play as well.

Reljic, a sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia, finished the regular season with nine singles wins at the number one position, including a 4-2 record in GAC play.

In doubles she and Catipovic posted a 14-8 record with a 5-1 mark against league foes in the regular season.

Cowley County CC enters the contest ranked No. 7 nationally among junior colleges and is the top-ranked team in NJCAA's Region III.
