SE Set for First GAC Road Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will trek west for its first conference road series when it takes on Southwestern Oklahoma State in a three-game set Feb. 26-27, opening with a single game at 2 p.m. on Friday with a double-header slated for noon on Saturday in Weatherford, Okla.
 
The Savage Storm head into the series with a 6-7 record overall on the year and a 1-3 mark in Great American Conference play.
 
SE is coming off a 1-2 weekend series with Northwestern Oklahoma state to open league play.
 
Dylan Helms is pacing the Storm offense with a .388 average that includes three doubles and three home runs while driving in eight and scoring a team best 13 runs.
 
Greg Husnander joins him hitting over .300 at .333 with three home runs of his own and four doubles while driving in 4 and scoring six runs.
 
 Scott Richards leads the SE starters with a 2-1 record on the year and a 2.88 ERA in four starts with 25.0 innings pitched and 25 strikeouts.
 
Matt Benedict has made five appearances with one start and boasts a 2.04 ERA, but is 1-2 on the season with 12 k'S.
 
Brady Colbert leads the team in saves with four in six appearances.
 
The Bulldogs are 7-5 on the year overall and 2-1 in GAC play after taking two out of three from East Central to open the season.
 
The SWOSU offense is led by Jacob Spring who is hitting .400 with four triples and two homers with 12 RBI.
 
Jon Chidester leads the pitching staff with a 0.45 ERA and a 2-1 record in three starts with 11 strikeouts.
