DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will open the home portion of the Great American Conference schedule as well as host its first true home game when it welcomes Southwestern Oklahoma State to the Southeastern Softball Field for a four-game series Feb. 26-27, with Friday's double-header beginning at 1 p.m. and Saturday's first pitch at noon.

The Savage Storm come into the matchup with an 8-6 record overall and a 4-0 mark in GAC play after picking up a four-game sweep of Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Okla., last weekend.

The sweep stretched the Storm to a five-game winning streak with them picking up wins in six-of-eight over the past two weekends combined.

Jessica Simmons leads the offense with a .476 average that includes three doubles, a triple and a home run with eight RBI and 16 runs scored in the leadoff spot. She also leads the GAC in steals with 14.

Keeshia Thompson and
Jordyn James are each hitting over .300 at .341 and .323, respectively. James has a pair of homers while Thompson has added seven RBI.Â
Mykaela Wallace leads the team in home runs with three.

Emily Cudd paces the pitching staff with a 5-2 record on the season and a 2.67 ERA with five starts in 10 appearances. She has tossed 39.1 innings and struck out 20 and has recorded the team's only save.

The Bulldogs come to town with a 4-10 record on the season and a 2-2 mark in league play after splitting the opening series at home to East Central.

Alex Wilson leads the team with a .423 average with four doubles and a home runs alongside a team-high nine RBI.

Kaley Reding leads the pitching staff with a 4.88 ERA, but is 1-3 on the year, while Taya Haney is 2-2 on the season but has a 6.10 ERA.
