DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern softball will set its sights on the league's top spot when it travels to Great American Conference leading Arkansas Tech for a four game series March 25-26 in Russellville, Ark.

Friday's games will begin at 3 p.m., with Saturday's twinbill slated for a noon first pitch.

The Savage Storm will be aiming to build another streak after a weekend in which it saw a 15-game winning streak and its perfect GAC record disappear by losing three of four contests against Harding.

The Storm won the final game of the series to avoid the sweep and now sit third in the neck-and-neck standings among the top three, just two games behind leader ATU and a half game behind Southern Arkansas in second with a 15-3 record in league play and a 19-9 record overall.

SE's offense is paced by Jessica Simmons who is hitting .470 on the season with seven doubles, a triple and two home runs.  She also has 13 RBI in the lead off position and has scored 26 runs while stealing a league-best 25 bases.

Four others are hitting better than .300 on the year, with Destiny Riddle posting a .348 mark, followed by Jordyn James at .333, Sydney Kramer at .322 and Laramie Beal at .304.

Kramer leads the team in RBI with 18, while all nine starters have reached double-figures in runs batted in.

James leads the team in home runs with four.

Jessica Seay paces the pitching staff with a 9-3 record and a 2.68 ERA along with three saves in 73.0 innings pitched with 72 strikeouts.

ATU enters the weekend leading the conference with a 17-1 record in GAC play and a 27-2 record overall.

The Golden Suns have won seven in a row and are led by Alex Edinger on offense with a .430 average, while Jalissa Gum has driven in a team-best 24 runs and Janie Knowles has added five homers.

Gum leads the pitching staff with a 0.71 ERA and a 10-0 record in 10 starts and 12 appearances, tossing 63.2 innings and striking out 94.
