DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern got back in gear with a pair of victories last week, first picking up a Great American Conference win, 8-1, over Southern Nazarene before following it up with a 5-3 regional win over Northwest Missouri State.

The wins lift the Savage Storm to 4-3 overall on the season and 1-1 in league play heading into an April 1 matchup with Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia, Ark.

In the first matchup versus SNU, SE recovered from a loss at one doubles and never looked back.

Anna Buiukian and
Franzi Richtsfeld cruised to an 8-1 win at number two, with
Conchi Assiego and
Maria Martinez following up with an 8-3 win at three doubles for a 2-1 lead.

Buiukian would pick up a 7-6, 6-3 win at one singles for a 3-1 lead and it was the closest score of any match for the remainder of the contest.

Alexsandra Reljic would follow with a 6-3, 6-1 win at number two, while
Darija Catipovic added a 6-2, 6-2 win at number three to clinch the win.

Martinez piled on with a 6-1, 6-4 win at number four, followed by a 6-4, 6-0 win by Richtsfeld at five and a 6-0, 6-0 win by Assiego at six.

Against the Bearcats, Reljic and Catipovic picked up an 8-4 win at one doubles, but the Storm would fall at two and three and trail 2-1 heading to singles play.

Buiukian would pull out a 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 win at one singles to even the match and Reljic added a 6-4, 6-3 win at two for a 3-2 lead.

NWMSU would even the score with a win at three, but Richtsfeld would gain SE the lead again with a 6-2, 6-2 win at number five and Assiego would clinch the victory with a 6-3, 6-2 win at number six.
