DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern sets out to regain its footing in the league standings after a pair of weekend series against teams ranked at or near the top of the conference standings when it hosts Southern Nazarene in a four-game series April 1-2 at the Southeastern Softball Field.

Friday's double-header is set for a 2 p.m. first pitch with Saturday's slated for noon.

The Savage Storm is 21-13 overall and 17-7 in Great American Conference play, and is coming off a midweek double-header split with rival East Central.

The Storm offense is led by the league's top hitter in
Jessica Simmons who is hitting .490 on the year with nine doubles, a triple, two homers and 16 RBI out of the leadoff spot. She carries a .562 on-base percentage and has stolen a league-best 27 bases which has helped her to score 29 runs on the year.

Laramie Beal,
Sydney Kramer and
Destiny Riddle are each hitting better than .300 on the year.

Beal and
Jordyn James lead the way in homers with four apiece, while Beal and Kramer each have a team-high 20 RBI.

Jessica Seay leads the pitching staff with a 10-4 record in the circle and a 2.72 ERA to go with 82 strikeouts, while
Emily Cudd has also put together 10 wins and struck out 48.

SNU comes into the weekend with a 16-20 record overall and a 9-17 mark in GAC play, but has won five of its last six games.

Sam Smith leads the offense with a .360 average with nine homers and 30 RBI, while Sydni Toilolo is right behind with a .342 average to go with a team-high 10 home runs and 30 RBI.

Kayla Wyatt leads the team in the circle with a 10-9 record and a 2.71 ERA alongside 197 strikeouts.
