DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's tennis kept its record spotless with three wins over four days, downing Laredo CC 5-4, St. Mary's 7-2 and Holy Names 6-3, with the first two wins coming in San Antonio, Texas while the third was picked up on Sunday afternoon at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The Savage Storm improved to 6-0 on the year and will be back on the court March 11 when it plays in the West Texas Shootout in Midland, Texas.

SE got its toughest match in the first one out as it faced the NJCAA's No. 14-ranked Laredo CC.

Maksim Fil and
Netanel Alcabas picked up an 8-1 win at number one doubles, with
Alberto Blesa and
Tiago Ferreira following suit with an 8-5 win at number two and the Storm would lead 2-1 heading to singles play.

LCC would make its rally in singles play, swiping the win at the one position to even the match at 2-2.
Â
Alcabas would regain the lead with a 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 win at number two, but LCC would answer with wins at three and four to open up a 4-3 lead.

Mislav Colak would respond by tying the match on a 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 win at number five.
Â
Ferreira would close the door in the six position with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory to secure the 5-4 win.

The Storm got off to a hotter start the next day against No. 38 St. Mary's, starting with a 9-7 win by Fil and Alcabas at one doubles.

Blesa and Ferreira added an 8-1 win at two doubles which was followed by an 8-6 win by
Petar Popovic and Colak at the three position for a sweep of doubles play.

The Rattlers would pick up wins at the one and three positions in singles, but Alcabas would answer with a 6-3, 6-5 win at number two to end a threat at the top of the lineup.

Jack Gibbens would follow up with a 6-2, 2-6, 10-2 win at number four to clinch the match victory.

Colak would add on with a 6-2, 6-3 win at number five, with Ferreira adding a 6-0, 6-3 win at six for the 7-2 victory.

Southeastern would return home for its Sunday matchup with No. 34 Holy names, and despite falling at one doubles, Blesa and Ferreira would answer with an 8-6 win at number two, followed by an 8-6 win by Popovic and Colak at number three to open up a 2-1 lead.

Fil would extend the lead to 3-1 win a 6-4, 6-4 win at number one singles.

HNU would get an answer with wins at two and three singles to even the score at 3-3.

Gibbens would end the run with a 6-3, 6-3 win at number four singles.

Colak would follow up with a 6-2, 6-4 win at number five to clinch the match and Ferreira would complete the 6-3 final score with a 6-3, 6-1 win at number six.
