ADA, Okla. – Southeastern women's tennis closed out the conference portion of its schedule by picking up a 6-3 win over rival East Central in Ada, Okla., to lock up the top seed in the conference tournament.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 11-3 overall on the year and 6-1 in Great American Conference play and stretches the team's winning streak to nine-straight matches.

SE's Wednesday meeting with Nebraska-Kearney has been cancelled, which leaves its April 17 matchup with Seward County CC.

The Storm fell behind early with losses at one and two doubles, with
Conchi Assiego and
Maria Martinez picking up a 8-4 win at number three to keep the score 2-1 after doubles play.

Anna Buiukian would even the score with a 6-2, 7-5 win at number one singles, with Alexsandra Rejic following suit with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number two for a 3-2 lead.

ECU would event he match at 3-3 with a win at number three, but Martinez would again come through with a win, downing her opponent 6-1, 7-5 at number four for a 4-3 lead.

Franzi Richtsfeld would clinch the match with a 6-1, 6-00 win at number five and
Ilga Racika-Racko would fashion the final score of 6-3 with a 1-6, 6-4, 10-7 win at number six.
