DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern baseball will open a three game series with its sights set on the top spot in the Great American Conference standings as it hosts co-leader Arkansas-Monticello at The Ballpark in Durant April 22-23.
Game one of the series on Friday is slated for a 2 p.m. first pitch, with a Saturday double-header set for 1 p.m.

The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 24-18 mark overall and a 19-8 mark in GAC play, trailing the co-leaders by a .708-to-.704 winning percentage.

SE is coming off a sweep at Southern Arkansas and has won nine of its last 10 contests. It has also won six-straight conference series, sweeping three of them.

Kaleb Thomas has taken over the top spot hitting with a .335 average, while four others carry .323 marks or better.

Logan Terwilliger paces the club in RBI with 36, while
Brandon Grimsley has connected on a team-best nine home runs.

Terwilliger and
Dylan Helms have each added six homers, while Thomas, Helms and Grimsley have added more than 20 RBI each.

Dylan Linke leads the pitching staff with a 7-2 record and carries a 5.00 ERA with 52 strikeouts, while Matt Benedict leads the team in ERA at 2.68 with a 5-2 record and
Mike Wade is on his heels at 5-3 with a 3.19 ERA.

Brady Colbert has a team-best 10 saves on the season with a 4-1 record and a 3.71 ERA in 19 appearances with 62 strikeouts.

The Boll Weevils come to town with a trio of .300 hitters, led by Corey Wood who is hitting .355 with 15 home runs and 47 RBI.

Braden Chambers leads the pitching staff with an 8-0 record and a 2.37 ERA, while Dawson Moser has picked up eight saves with a 1.65 ERA in 16 appearances.
