DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern's No.48-ranked women's tennis jumped out to a 2-0 start after cruising to a 9-0 season-opening victory over New Mexico Military and following it up with an 8-1 win over Texas-Permian Basin, with both matches being played in Dallas, Texas.

The wins start the season off at 2-0 heading into a Feb. 28 home-opening matchup with Cowley County CC at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The No. 24-ranked doubles duo of
Alexsandra Reljic and
Darija Catipovic opened play against NMMI with a 9-7 victory, and the Storm followed suit at numbers two and three, with
Anna Buiukian and
Samantha Coquinos winning at number two 8-0, while Paula Martinez and
Luisa Auffarth matched that with an 8-0 win at three.

Reljic then took home the one position with a 6-3, 6-2 victory, while Buiukian followed up with the clinching win at number two singles, taking the match 6-4, 6-0 to make the score 5-0.

Coquinos followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at three and Catipovic added a 6-0, 6-0 victory at four to stretch the advantage to 7-0.

Auffarth would follow suit with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number five, while Martinez rounded out the action by finishing off the sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number six.

Reljic and Catipovic again started a doubles sweep, this time downing UTPB's top duo 8-5.

Buiukian and Coquinos would follow up with an 8-0 victory, while Martinez and Auffarth rounded out the 3-0 doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory.

Reljic completed a 4-0 weekend with a 6-1, 6-0 win at one singles for a 4-0 lead.

UTPB picked up a point at two singles to make it 4-1, but Coquinos would finish the match off with a clinching 6-2, 6-2 win at number three for a 5-1 lead.

Catipovic fell in line with a 6-2, 6-2 win at number four, with Martinez adding a 6-2, 6-0 win at five and Auffarth taking number six 6-1, 6-1.
